Event Road Closure & Detour Information
Drivers are encouraged to adjust travel time within and around the bike course.
- Dallas Bike Ride will bring thousands of participants to Dallas, in addition to thousands of spectators, family, and friends.
- To get the most out of your weekend and minimize stress, we encourage the public to be aware of the impacted roads in your area and plan ahead for an alternate route or added travel time.
- Join the festivities! Dallas residents are encouraged to visit the free Finish Festival at City Hall Plaza, which will occur from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.
The route starts at City Hall Plaza on Ervay St and ends back at City Hall Plaza on Young St. Event officials advise the public that temporary, intermittent street closings will be in effect on Saturday, November 3, 2018; starting at 7:45 a.m., Dallas Police Department (DPD) will handle the alteration of traffic patterns and enforce moving violations. DART Rail and Bus will be running on a normal Saturday/Weekend schedule. Some bus lines will be affected; DART will advise as to these bus route detours and delays.
Persons with unessential travel should avoid driving in all areas affected by the event. It is imperative that Dallas residents review the course map and road closures grid to confirm whether desired routes will be available, and to identify streets, which may be used to get around the ride route and to other parts of the city.
Streets will re-open on a rolling basis as soon as the last participant has passed. Public safety officials are committed to re-opening streets along the route as quickly as it is safe to do so.
